Richard began his career in Energy after completing his bachelor’s degree in economics at the University of Calgary. Over the next 12 years, Richard would provide technical consulting services in the areas of regulatory program management and operations, exposing him to emissions reporting and how under-utilized technology and data analysis is in the field. His experience and formal education have allowed him to develop software tools that saved thousands of man- hours and create all new optimization opportunities for companies around the globe.

Ross started his programming career at Loblaws, the largest private employer in Canada, building tech systems to drive company growth and efficiency. He then became a lead developer of optimization and simulation software in the gas compression field. After the sale of the gas compression software company, Ross started a tech firm specializing in converting paper-based Oil & Gas exploration systems to a digital knowledge base. His firm also amalgamated publicly-available government data into a simplified searchable website. While active as a tech consultant, Ross has developed digital tools that support air quality monitoring and management, aiding the reporting of substance exceedances to provincial governments.

Elisa began her career in HSE consulting, collaborating with a diverse range of interest-holders. Continually seeking opportunities for personal and professional development, she embarked on additional education in the field of IT. Following this, she dedicated herself to aiding a varied clientele in optimizing their systems through the application of technology. Elisa utilizes her proficiency in technology and organizational strategies to guarantee success for both the eMission team and our valued clients.

Marty Seymour is a business professional with a background in international trade, government affairs, and indigenous business development. His areas of expertise include voluntary carbon markets as well as agri-food production systems and supply chains.  Marty current sits on the University of Saskatchewan’s Board of Governors and is active on various committees and think tanks to advance the interests of agri-business in Canada. 

Richard Maksymetz is a public affairs professional and a seasoned political advisor with over 20 years of experience. Before founding Alar Strategy, he held senior roles in Canadian politics at both the federal and provincial levels, including Chief of Staff to the Federal Minister of Finance and senior positions with British Columbia’s Ministers of Finance, Health, and Solicitor General. Additionally, he served as an advisor on Western and Northern Canada in the Office of the Leader of the Opposition and is currently the Chair of the Board of the United Nations Association in Canada.

Brian Hepp brings over 40 years of expertise in the full lifecycle of process, project, and operations management, with a growing focus on sustainability. As a professional engineer, he is certified by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), is a UK Chartered Engineer, and holds the EUR ING title from the European Federation of National Engineering Associations. Brian has successfully led numerous projects in both established and emerging markets, gaining extensive experience in optimizing processes and implementing change management strategies that prioritize health, safety, and environmental sustainability. 

Greg Coleman is an international business executive with more than 40 years experience in the energy industry. His expertise is in strategy, financing, risk management and governance and has held leadership roles in operations, project management, environmental policy, health and safety, and investor relations. Greg has worked in Europe, Canada, MENA and Venezuela and is now working on projects in Namibia, Uganda, Guyana, Ghana, UK, and the Middle East driving innovation and sustainability in these evolving markets. 

Tom Ogaranko is an experienced technology executive and strategic advisor with strong public and private sector experience. He has founded multiple tech companies in advanced technology industries. He has provided advice on innovation policy to the governments of Canada and France, as well as several Canadian provincial governments. Additionally, he has played a role in the establishment of three crown agencies focused on research, innovation, and technology development. Tom has assembled and structured $1.5B of investment for stimulating and growing innovative capacity for public and private clients and is also currently a director with Viresco Solutions Inc., advising corporations on their end-to-end carbon roadmaps.
